About Us
CLEAR SUMMIT EARTH MATERIALS is a family run business founded by Christopher Slade in the late 1960’s and was incorporated in 1970.
Clear Summit started in the general excavating business from new construction of homes to road building, site work and landfill capping. Over the years of site work excavation, Clear Summit has acquired over two dozen pieces of equipment including many loaders, excavators, bulldozers and dump trucks. A decade of running the sand and gravel pit located in Bolton led to the acquisition of specialized equipment to process specific materials. Clear Summit now has a fleet of different screeners, crushers and grinders. After the depletion of materials from the Bolton pit, Clear Summitshifted to recycling stumps, brush, broken concrete and asphalt. Everything accepted is recycled in a usable product, for example: Ripped up old asphalt and concrete foundations are turned into sized and graded aggregate substitutes. Brush, logs and stumps are processed into beautiful wood mulch products and leaves, grass clippings, old hay bales from silt fence are processed into high organic compost and loam for lawns and gardens.
